  Attic

If used for storage or Equipment space (air handler) attic must have at least one lighting outlet. Switch for lighting outlet shall be at usual point of entry. Lighting outlet must be at or near the equipment requiring servicing. – 210.70(A)(3)

One receptacle 15 or 20A within 25’ of Heating or AC equipment - 210.63

Wires that run across the top of floor joists, and are 7' from attic entrance with permanent stairs or ladder, or 6' from attic entrance without permanent stairs or ladder, shall be protected by guard strips that are at least as high as the wire. - 320.23(A)
