Authority having jurisdiction in the following case is Suffolk County, New York.

General:

No panels are allowed in a bathroom or closets. - 240.24(D) & (E)

All panels must be at least 2 feet away from sinks. However this should be checked with the local jurisdiction. It may be 3 feet or more.

If using PVC conduit for a service, it must be schedule 80 conduit.

The weather head must be 9 inches to 18 inches above the point of attachment.

All outside cables 8 feet and below must be covered to protect it.

Outside meter should be no less than 3 feet to the bottom of the meter to the ground, and no more than 6 feet to the top of top of the meter.

The wire from the outside meter to the inside panel should not be longer than 5 feet. If it is then a disconnect is needed between the two. If a disconnect is used then SER cable should be used between the disconnect and the panel.

For Double services or more, all disconnects must be grouped together. 230-72(A)

200A Service:

Must ground the water pipe coming in to the house before and after the meter. Must use number 4 ground wire.

Wire size: 2/0 Copper Table 310.15(B)(6)

150A Service:

Wire size: #1 Copper Table 310.15(B)(6)

100A Service:

Must ground the water pipe coming in to the house before and after the meter. Must use number 6 ground wire.
Wire size: #4 Copper Table 310.15(B)(6)
